Sometimes I wish I could freeze time...embrace and cherish that exact moment forever...seeing, touching, hearing, and smelling her for the first time...feeling my heart sink to the bottom of my belly...overwhelmed with intense emotions...and never wanting to let it go...

Does anyone know...

...of a good cosmetic dentist? I chipped my two front teeth as a child, but the last time they were bonded I was 13 (yes for all of you doing the math that was almots 20 years ago). Yesterday Scott noticed my right tooth was chipped again. I guess it's time for some new front teeth.

Little Artist

Lily got an easel for her birthday. She loves to color and paint. Note to self... don't leave dry erase markers, 3 year old, and 11 month old in room alone together. Lily thought it was beautiful, Ava didn't seem to mind, mommy was just glad it wasn't permanent!!!

Three for three...

Lily is three and more difficult to photograph than ever. I tried to shoot her 3 year old photos and this is what I ended up with. Maybe we'll try again tomorrow...

First Day of School! First Day of School!

On the way to Lily's first day of preschool there were a few butterflies floating around in my stomach. You know Lily, she was ready and excited to go.

She's going to want to go everyday. Where's my Kennedy, she kept asking her teacher. Kennedy is a friend she played soccer with this past winter. Can you believe she was labeled the Spunky one on the first day!!!

Say goodbye to two. Just one final photo of my baby at two.

I remember it like yesterday;three years ago today we were headed to the hospital to have our first baby. So sure we knew everything,completely naive what to expect. At that moment the anticipation was the greatest feeling I had ever experienced but soon was replaced.

It's difficult to not get wrapped up in daily monotony and easy to forget that they're only babies for a short time. I've spent much of the past three years trying to be the perfect parent when I don't know what perfect is. This on the job training is difficult.

Now my baby is a little girl. She's so bright it's easy to forget tantrums are still acceptable at this age. I find myself looking for perfection instead of enjoying her childhood. My advice to myself, just be....

Emma Grace

Emma's 3rd birthday was a blast!!! Finger painting, how fun!!! So tell me why all of the girls wanted to use paint brushes? I can't believe all of our girls will be three. It's so darn cute listening to their conversations. Little carbon copies of their parents!!! All I can say is we're in for it!!! Happy Birthday Emma Grace!!!

Baby Steps...

Oh my goodness, here comes trouble...

Ava is working on those baby steps. Two days ago she started with one and today she up to two.

I really hope she takes her time. I'm not ready to chase her all over the house yet. She seems pretty determined.

Its official, Scott is a Chandler Firefighter!!! He graduated on Friday. His first day of duty is tomorrow. He will be on Engine 289, C shift. Station 9 is near Chandler mall. Take a look at his week.

Family Day...

I'm back up and running!!! The computer crashed and my new Dell came last week. Now to get everything loaded and ready to go.

Today was family day at the Fire Accademy. The girls were crazy!!! It's been a long week with too many sleep interuptions. Tomorrow is Scott's last day. After three years, all his hard work will finally pay off. He will be a Chandler Firefighter. We are so excited to have him home a little more often!!!

13 going on...

I finally found a model who will sit still. My beautiful niece Ashley. We had a little photo shoot while the girls were sleeping. She's such a great helper!!!

She's movin on!!! Last weekend us girls got together to wish Cath farewell. It was a night of reminiscing the past 25ish years. So many unbelievable memories!!! We wish you a wonderful future in Colorado Springs. We will miss you and love you dearly....

Two Front Teeth...

After months of teething Ava finally has them, her two front teeth. She now has a set of five!!! I'm so glad to have my happy baby back, and sleep too!!!
