er

i can't believe i forgot to post these!!!! taken at 11:15pm on 8/11/08 at banner thunderbird er.

while making dinner ava clumsily walked off the bench pushed up to the kitchen counter. on her way down i watched her hit her chin on the counter and fall straight back hitting her head on the tile floor. she cried and recovered.

about 30 minutes later she was throwing a fit about sitting down for dinner then to the recliner and passed out. we didn't think much of it since it was the second week of school and things were a bit upside down here anyway.

about two hours later she woke up disorientated and irritable. scott did point out how disorientated she was acting but again we didn't think to much about it because it was ava, she usually wakes up like a bear.

scott took her for a ride to calm her down and she started vomiting. so we brought her to the er. she got a cat scan and was a super good girl. i bet she was so scared in that big machine all by alone. but everything was alright, only a concussion.

green light, yellow light, red light

the first week of school was surprisingly successful, all green lights on lily's behaviour calendar. last week, not so much. well come on... we all know she's got a mind of her own. three yellows last week but only one so far this week.

maybe i should stop letting her dad pack her lunch...

check out all the classwork their doing, and homework every night

at two months

my son no longer looks like a newborn baby. he's still little and sleeps a ton, but he's all stretched out, alert, and strong.

at two months baby jack-jack is 23 1/4 inches long and weighs 1o pounds and 14 3/4 ounces.

he loves to sleep and does so most of the day and night. he sooths himself to sleep now when he is in his crib and loves to sleep on his tummy.

he smiles and coos and his sweet voice has a deep tone much like his sisters.

he bats at the toys hanging above his changing table and his favorite toy is the bouncer. he loves to kick and grab at the animals hanging from it.

so here's my sweet little guy at two months in his favorite toy, the bouncer...

the serious face...i just love the nursing lips

the charming smile with the elf ears
and the sweaty feet....i love the sweaty baby feet
watching...grabbing...kicking...bubbling...

today.

my little jack-sack is two months old. i'll update with stats tomorrow after his dr. appointment. tonight i have to share a story.

scott's at work. i'm getting ready to put the girls to bed. jackie boy is in the swing starting to fuss. i walk the girls to bed to find a poopy mess that sweet ava left for me. yes, she still chooses to control her bathroom usage at home.

so i search for the steam cleaner, find it in the garage, and start cleaning. by this time my jack-a-roo is screaming! loudly! well, i've got to get the girls to bed, i've got to clean the carpet, so the poor third child is just going to have to wait.

lily volunteered to calm him down but quickly returned saying it didn't work. i asked her to just keep an eye on him.

five minutes later i go out to check on them and baby jack-jack is fast asleep with his big sister singing to him. she also read him a few stories. i asked if she put the sticker on his head. she said "yes, he was a very good boy."

i love her.

big girl

yes, another day of firsts. today was ava's first day of preschool. a mommy can only handle so much. she was super cute and sooooo excited...even though she's too shy to show it. she said the had fun and loves preschool. and the best part was getting a homework folder like sister. thank goodness for that, i'm already packing her a lunch too. well she had a great first day even if she didn't say a word.

and one of baby jack-jack....just in case you were missing him. it was his first day as an only child for three hours. can you believe it...it was our first time in years without having a speaking child and not getting a sitter!

first day of school! first day of school!

yes, today was the big day....lily's first day of kindergarten. her school had a practice first day for the kindergarten class. it started with a boo-hoo breakfast in the cafeteria. after that they all lined up with their class and were lead off by their teacher. i choked up a bit but managed to hold it together. the day was only 2 hours, tomorrow is her first full day. she is such a cutie in her uniform. she picked out her outfit last night but after today she said it was too hot for knee highs.

lily with her teacher, mrs. coranado

look how much she's grown up. here she is on the first day of school for the past three years.
