i have created a new blog for melissa jensen photography. I will continue posting personal photos on this blog, but all business photos will be posted on the melissa jensen photography blog.

She says she wants to be a doctor when she grows up. I think she's a pretty good dancer and she is always singing, so maybe a performer. But when daddy left her alone with the crayons she revealed her new talent, mural art.

Photoshop facelift

I can't believe I'm posting this.... Ok not that the original is that bad, but man have I aged over the past few years. And 32, that was a rough year: two year old, no sleep, new baby, no sleep, postpartum depression, no sleep, Scott's career change, no sleep, little exercise, no sleep, and I'm just getting old.

This was taken last weekend on my 33rd birthday. I'm learning Photoshop so I thought I would mess around and see if I could make myself look a little younger! Did it work?

Edit: sized and sharpened for web, adjusted brightness and contrast, added a warm filter, spot healing brush to remove blemishes and even skin tone, removed stray eyebrows (I need a wax), added blur layer and a low opacity to soften skin appearance, erased blur from eyes and teeth, used blur tool at low opacity to soften and remove wrinkles, whitened teeth, colored hair (need a hair cut/color) still need on work on this technique. I think that was everything.

Another birthday....

Yes December, oh I mean September is a busy month!!! Ashley had her 14th birthday party today. Here are a few of her and her cute friends

I took Ava out for her one year old shoot today, with her sister. Why it is that Lily only wants me to take her picture when I'm taking someone other then hers? Anyway, Ava was on the go but I got a few good ones. Only proofed one but I think it's my favorite.

Lily had her first dance class last week. She's taking a tap/ballet combo class. She absolutely loved it! I knew she would. She's always shaking her booty. Anyway, she did well and wanted to go back the following morning. Hopefully I can get a few better photos next week.
